This summer we were able to move closer to my husbands work! It has been a super busy but “Oh so worth it” time. I am finally out of the boxes and have sat down and actually watched a little tv to just relax.
This last weekend an amazing program just had me totally glued and balling my eyes out. The Science Chanel is running a series on 9/11 called Rising and the building of Tower One where Ground Zero once was.
The stories just have been rocking my world; President Bush’s interview on National Geographic Chanel was just amazing. All those emotions came flooding back to me, where I was that day and finding a church body that was gathering to go pray. Seeing the Tower One being built and the stories that are behind the story –they are JUST AMAZING.
We are in a series at church right now called “Shark Weak” Pastor Ed preached an amazing message today about letting the “shark attacks” that happen in life not Define you but letting them REFINE you. Wow, what I timely word, Watching this program I see that determination in the American Spirit. This building, built stronger, and yet still transparent for the world to see in. I feel a common theme that God is speaking to me. Coming off of a whirl wind year where I definitely know God was doing some major refining, (and is still) I long to stay transparent. I see this building built better, completely stronger, more stature, it seems no detail has been overlooked. Even the wind can move around this building with more ease due to the master design. Inner strength is so very important in life and in ministry. It keeps you Moving forward with Boldness and without “fear” – which has been a life long nemesis. I go to sleep tonight hearing a clear message in all of this. Every life experience can make you stronger, its all in how you allow God to work through you – to work HIS work out in you.
